Girls that had internals....(TMI)
Those of you that have already had internals, how long did you bleed for afterwards?
She told me to expect it but its been 3 days & I'm still spotting a little bit (NOT red or pink)

after the first one I was bleeding for a few hours... after the last one on Wed. I was actually spotting until this morning... then I started to think that maybe I was losing my mucus plug... but it stopped at this point....

I had my first today and haven't bled at all! I haven't had cramping either....tmi, but my Dr. just stuck her fingers in there deeper than normal and that was it.

well, she said my cervix is soft and then I asked for more details and I said "so i'm not dialated or effaced?" and she said, "not dialated...a little effaced"...
???

My doctor said I may bleed a little but I haven't bled at all after any of my internals.

No spotting yet after the past two that I have had - I usually spot after pap smears so not sure why I haven't been now

When I was 38 weeks (one day before giving birth) I had an internal and I was uncomfortable - but it wasnt excruiating or anything - and I didnt bleed.
The next day I was in the hospital with contractions and had 6 internals and never progressed beyond 1cm dilated and zero effacement. The internals hurt LIKE HELL and there was bleeding.

Thanks ladies...my internal didn't hurt (any more than a pap smear) but I was bleeding. It just about ended now; I was just spotting the last few days.

I've had 3 internals now, and haven't bled a drop yet after any of them, thankfully. But I'm still only a fingertip dilated, so maybe that's why. The docs haven't even told me to watch for it yet.
