Girls trip to Florida?
Any recommendations for a few 40 year old moms who want to get away. Maybe 3-4 days. Destination- Florida but not sure which part. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Girls trip to Florida?
I did a girls trip a few years back to Amelia Island. We had a lot of fun...it's very lowkey, we just did beach, shopped in the cute little town, did a booze cruise, drank...

Another vote for Miami, but it all depends on what you want to do.

Re: Girls trip to Florida?
My girls and I literally just booked one this weekend. After bouncing around everywhere in FL we settled on the Margaritaville resort in Orlando. We are coming from all over the US and it was easiest for us all to get non-stop flights into Orlando. We aren’t looking to party all night but also want things to do and places to go.

Fort Lauderdale is lots of fun. Lots of restaurants, nightlife and the beach is beautiful. There is always something going on there. I feel Miami is more for the younger 20 something crowd.

I went to the one in Hollywood Beach. It was great. Had no idea they had one in Orlando.

Girls trip to Florida?
My BFF and I just booked Pink Shell Beach Resort for this exact type of trip. It was rated 4th best hotel in Florida! It is on the beach but in walking distance to their “Times Square” which is full of bars/restaurants. It also has bike, paddle board and kayak rentals. Another big seller was the adult only pool and buffet breakfast included. We booked through United vacation packages.

That's so good to hear! We were looking at the Hollywood Beach resort, but the flights were easier for everyone into Orlando.
They have resorts everywhere now. We also were contemplating Key West, but again flights became an issue.

Siesta Key! We stayed with friends when we went, so I don't have any hotel recs, but it was a great trip. Beautiful area.

Sounds great! Will look into it. Which airport do you go to for this and how far from there?

You fly into Fort Myers. I believe it’s between 30 and 45 minutes.

I second this, I stayed there last year for work and then my DH came for the weekend. So much fun and good time. You can have fun at the hotel and the restaurants are a nice short walk or low fare uber ride.
My second vote is for the Keys.
