Girls who did not find out the sex... Level II Ques.

When you had your Level II-- did anyone try to figure out for themselves the sex of the baby?

We don't want to find out-- but of course, the suspense is killing me!!

Now, I am also one of those people who cannot read a sonogram for the life of me unless it's blatantly obvious-- so, I don't think I will be able to come to any real conclusions.

I have my AFP on Tuesday-- which I believe consists of a sono and bloodwork-- so I can maybe look for the goods then, then my Level II will be in a few weeks.

I obviously haven't had my Level II yet, but I think when the tech gets to measuring that area, they will turn the monitor so you can't see.

I have my AFP on Monday, but was told it's just bloodwork.

The tech told us since we didn't want to find out, she wasn't going to go in close enough to be able to see the sex organs.

So everyone is guessing girl but we just aren't close enough to tell.

I had a full anatomy scan at 16.5 weeks. I didn't have a Level II. I was paranoid that I would see something so I looked away at times, but that really wasn't necessary.

I told the tech at the beginning that I didn't want to find out the sex. The tech was really quick with that part. She found out the sex, but I had no idea when she did that. She also made sure that the pictures she printed didn't show anything.

I had a previa with DS, so I had a million sonos. I never saw anything until my very last one when I went into labor. And even then I was not sure if it was a penis or a cord. It is just too hard to tell when the tech moves so quickly from area to are.

The tech was really good at making sure we could not see anything at the Level IIs (I had more than one), and all of the follow ups as well.

People might think I'm crazy but I thought I saw a penis at my ultrascreen. I didn't see anything going forward -but I thought boy from my 12 1/2 wk appt!

We didn't find out and to be honest, the tech is moving around so quick that unless you actually knew what to look for you wouldn't be able to tell what it is. We told her we didn't want to know and we watched the screen the ENTIRE time, not once did we take our eyes off it, and at one point she said, "Oh! I know what you're having!!". We had NO clue, didn't see a single thing. If you don't want to know they are very good about making sure you won't find out. I've had so many sonos since my Level II and I still have NO idea if it's a or a . Good luck!!

We asked the tech to tell us when she was going near that area, and we both turned our heads. It was for about 5 mintues, then she told us we could look back.

I just had my anatomy scan on monday and told the tech we didn't want to know the sex...she made us turn our heads when she was looking in that area and didn't make mention of what she saw...id been so paranoid that she'd let it slip but she didn't
