girls who have moved out of state and used movers...
Can you please tell me approximately how long it took them to deliver your stuff?
I am moving on 2/24 and was hoping to have the following week to unpack and stuff.....Two companies I called, Mayflower and United Van Lines, told me it can take up to 10 days to get things.....The reason is because they wait for the truck to fill up before they go......
Are any other companies quicker???? Thanks for any help you can give!

We used National Van lines. They contracted the job out to a trucker who was great. We got of to a rocky start that day but they went above and beyond. The Sales person who came from National was great also.

Re: girls who have moved out of state and used movers...
I've used Mayflower before. NY to Boston I got the stuff later that night, but only because there was bad snow predicted and they asked if they could go right there and deliver so they could get out of town before the weather got bad. For the Boston back to NY move 6 years later, they picked up on Monday and delivered at 8:00 AM the next morning. It may partly have to do with how much stuff you're moving too. In both cases, I had filled up better than half of a large truck so it was probably worth their while to just deliver since the distance isn't that great.

Re: girls who have moved out of state and used movers...
It depends on where you are moving. Most big companies have daily/weekly routes set up (depending on the distance). If you are moving to Florida or NC, most companies will get there earlier, since many people are doing that move. If you are going to say Arkansas, it is less likely that those routes are as frequent.
Also, even though they tell you an amount of days, it may be quicker - it just depends on where in the truck your boxes are - if you are packed first, you will be unpacked last.
I hope you have luck with national!
