Girls who saw Dr. Kofinas
Do you know how the billing works? I believe the girl told me that i pay my deductible and then they take nothing more than a co-pay if there is one. They are considered out of network so my insurance pays 60% but they will write off the rest. Is this correct? I will ask the girl to explain it to DH at our next appointment. I am just asking because when i looked up my statement from UHC, it pretty much said i owed 2 grand for my first visit. Just wondering if anyone knew. TIA!

Yes, you are correct. I have UHC also and I paid them my deductible (which was $500) and then after that it was just my co-pays. They accepted what the insurance paid them. I love Dr. Kofinas!

yup! i have UHC too and i would get checks in the mail to give to Kofinas.
i always got those statements saying we owe this and that... got worried of course.. but he takes care of it!!
you just pay the deductible and copay.
and you are in GREAT hands.. he is amazing, i miss him!

Yep. They only take money from the insurance company. Dr. Kofinas is AMAZING.
