Girls who were on progesterone
When did you come off of it? I am on progesterone suppositories 4x/day and on Tuesday I will be 12 weeks. The doctor wants me to start decreasing my dosage at 12 weeks and then I will completely done at about 12w4d. I am nervous that if I come off of it, my progesterone will drop. Is that even possible at this point in my pregnancy?

When I had my first consultation w/ my OB they said that people usually come off it at 10 weeks and that's exactly how long my prescription is for. I'm on the same dosage as you.

I was on until about 12 weeks. My doc told me that at that point, the placenta takes over the progesterone production so there is no need to supplement it with the suppositories. No worries!

I was on PIO until 10 weeks and then I was able to come right off it (didn't have to wean down). I didn't have any issues.

I was on PIO until 12 weeks and the suppositories until 16 weeks. I didn't have any issues after and I was really worried. Trust your Dr.

I was on PIO until 7.5 weeks, and had no issues.
Your progesterone levels typically drop around 10 weeks as the Placenta starts to take over.

I started progesterone at 22 weeks and will continue until 32.

This is what I was told to.
I think (since it was a while ago) that I was on then until the end of my 12th week

Bumping for another question...
When you went off the progesterone, did th doctor monitor you with blood work to make sure your levels were okay? Or did he/she assume you were fine since the placenta takes over progesterone production?

Nope, once I was off he was confident that my progesterone was fine

My Re told me to stop at 8weeks...I had no issues...I was also released from him at that time and was not checked for P4 again....everything was fine...

My RE told me I would need to be on it the entire first trimester. I will see what the OB says tomorrow.

I came off the Endometrin at 10 weeks, my OB said by then the placenta would have kicked in making it

no my RE never checked my levels again. I was kind of two worlds of RE & OB.
Once I was off the meds I went to see my OB to just make sure all was ok since I was nervous about just stopping.
