Girls with GD- can you share you numbers?
You can FM if you would prefer.
I am interested in your fasting numbers, 1 and 2 hour post meals once you were diagnosed and treated. I haven't seen the diabetic counselor yet however I had access to a lot of info, diet and been monitoring my numbers for about a week.
My fasting is my problem. I range from 90-106
My one hour post meals range from 100-120. Average is 108.
My 2 hour post meals range from 87-107. Average 95.
My PRE meals (with exception of the fasting in the morning) range from 79-93. Average 79.
I know the fasting in the Mornjng is a problem. What about the additional numbers? I know they are all "in range" but would a dr be happy to see my ranges?

My numbers are worse than yours (except for fasting) but still within range for the most part and my doctor has been thrilled.

You're testing a lot... is there a reason?

Haha Bc I'm An OCD nurse already lol. No seriously Bc I have not been seen yet. Just received info from my own work contacts/ connnections and unwanted to wstablish if there are any trends etc. once I'm seen I guess I will lay off. But in meantime I figured it would be good to go Ik with as much info as possible. I am already 28 weeks.

Re: Girls with GD- can you share you numbers?
i'm only on day 2 of testing but my fasting was 109 both days.
I'm not doing 1 hour testing and was told to do 2 hour and my levels have been different - 135 and 111 for breakfast, and 119 for lunch (haven't tested today yet)
My little guide says for fasting levels should be between 60-90 and 2 hours should be 80-120.

the additional numbers are great, but the morning seems to be the issue, you might not be able to control that with you diet. you might need NPH for night time.

See that is what I believe as well. Which is part of the reason I've been checking so often and keeping records Bc I don't want to postpone treatment longer than needed. I have a huge feeling I will need insulin at bedtime.

my numbers are way different from yours and i was told that fasting should be<90 pre meal <100 and 1 hr <140.
I am having a hard time with what I can and cant eat especially carb counting. I think the main goal really is not to have too many spikes high and low.

Have you tried adding in a snack of protein & carbs before bed? For me, that worked for awhile and for the most part but was put on Metformin before bed and that has helped keep them consistently within range. It was either Metformin or Insulin and thankfully my Dr. ultimately decided on Metformin b/c I didn't want to do insulin.

Tried the bedtime snack 2 mornings in a row and no change at all. Funny thing is when is started keeping track my numbers were actually better on the morning fast. Not normal (they were in 90s). But since I started checking and watching they crept up to 100s

Re: Girls with GD- can you share you numbers?
the fasting blood sugar has nothing to do with diet, its the hormones from the baby which peak at night which is why you are spiking in the morning. my post meal sugars were perfect but my FSB was always 95-110 So the farther along you are the more production of hormone.

Yeah see that's the same with me. My post meals are always great. This is frustrating
