give me your ideas

I am at a complete stand still with my weight.

I need to lose about 20lbs to be where i really want.

I work out atleast 3 times a week intensely and have lowered my daily calorie intake..

What can i do to jump start the weight loss so I can see some results and not give up

TIA

How long are you working out each day?

I was at a plateau for several months and then upped the time I worked out by about 10 minutes a day and was able to drop 3-5 additional pounds.

Also as odd as this may sound, make sure your body is getting enough calories. If your diet is too restrictive, your body holds onto fat because it goes into starvation mode.

Also make sure you are getting enough sleep and drinking enough water - those are the 2 most common reasons people can't lose weight.
If that is in place - start doing something completely different. Changing your routine will shock your body and kick start weight loss. And if you can, add a 4th day, 3 is really the bare minimum. Good luck!

That was my first thought. Maybe post a typical days menu?

What about trying to decrease your carbs a little. Not drastic like Atkins or anything, but just paying attention to them helps me. I could easily eat at least 300 carbs a day...and still stay with my points.

I started to count points and try to stay under 100-150 carbs, and that worked. I just started again on Monday doing this (I had a baby). We shall see!

Try South Beach for 2 weeks. It works wonders. I always jump start my weight loss with this. I loose 10 lbs everytime I do it. Of course, after the 14 days you need to keep up with low carbs... to keep the weight off.

Re: give me your ideas

I found that changing up workouts sometimes helps. If you do the same thing/workout all the time your body may get "used" to it you know? Keep it challenged with new activities
