Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Good vibes to you!
You're getting a lot of interviews, which is a good sign. Are the interviews going well?
Maybe you'll hear back something from the ones you've already gone on...

Re: giving up?

Do a mock interview with a friend or a relative familiar with the job you are applying for, and have them critique you. You may be saying or doing something that is causing them to not offer you the job...It's amazing how others pick up on little things you wouldn't even if youbstarbat the mirror all day...

Thats true. I was critiqued by a hr manager from one of the places I interviewed but every company and person is different. There was a few I thought I had nailed but bc I lack some experience I was denied....its a vicious cycle no experience =no job but how are you suppose to get experience when no one wants to hire like that??

Thank you all for your Chat Icon's Im sure things will work out I just cant give up or dwel on what went wrong I have to just keep going! i may end up just starting my own business lol

Re: giving up?

It's very hard to get a job as a Substance Abuse counselor unless your licensed or have a CASAC certification.

I have a friend who got her degree in school counseling in may and ended up finding a job she loves in the city as a recruiting company (FSG).

Re: giving up?

The job offer will come, your resume is getting you in the door. It's just a matter of finding a place that's the right fit.

If it makes you feel better, a few yrs ago, I had to go through 20 interviews (some 2nd) before I got a few offers near the end.... one of which was the perfect job for me.

Sometimes, there's just something better that you're meant for. :)

Re: giving up?

No major advice, except to maybe consider some positions you could possibly be over-qualified for to gain experience and a foot-in-the-door.
