Glass Coverage on Car Insurance
On my policy there is a part where it says $500 under the glass coverage. Could that be the deductible for glass coverage? That seems QUITE high.

Re: Glass Coverage on Car Insurance
If that's the case, that would be a ripoff.
I have $500 deductibles and full glass with State Farm. I had that with Geico too, and I actually used it.
I'd definitely call your broker. I'm guessing it's just your deductible for Comp or Collision.

Re: Glass Coverage on Car Insurance
it is probably the deductible- honestly I don't know if the cost of having full glass on your policy is worth it- the last time I had my glass replaced it was WAY less than the 500 deductible.

Re: Glass Coverage on Car Insurance
No, well it shouldnt be.
Glass coverage in most policies are NON deductible coverage. Place a claim and get it repaired for free.
The $500 deductible you see is for the comprehensive loss of FIRE/THEFT or Vandalism.
Ck with your company.
