Glee Star's Boyfriend Found Dead
Glee star Becca Tobin's boyfriend, Matt Bendik, was found dead Thursday. The 35-year-old was discovered in his Pennsylvania hotel room. The cause of death is unknown at this time, though there's no evidence that suggests Bendik took his own life. The Philadelphia Police Department calls his untimely passing a "sudden death," citing no sign of foul play.
Tobin was with Bendik in Philadelphia, joining him on a business trip (he ran nightclubs in L.A.). The two were out with friends on Wednesday night. Everything seemed normal, a source told E! News. "It's extremely sad and tragic," the source continued. "He was such an amazing guy. He was so in love with Becca — they did everything together. They were so in love." Tobin has not yet released a statement.
Perhaps most eerie is the timing of Bendik's death: It's just two days before the one-year anniversary of Cory Monteith's passing. It's not lost on Glee fans that Monteith was also found alone in his Vancouver hotel room. The past year has been heartbreaking for the show's stars and their fans. He was a friend of one of my GF's. She is completely devastated. Very sad news.
