Glen Head, Sea Cliff, Glenwood Landing...anyone know about these towns....
So my search is ever expanding...someone recommended Glen head! I do not know anything about this area! Do even think I've been up there!
But as I search on MLSLI - sea cliff and glenwood landing are popping up in the search as well - north shore Schools!
Anyone know of these areas/school district!?!? good, bad, and the ugly!?!?!
Thanks so much!

I've heard really good things about the northshore SD... Those are really nice areas. Just make sure not to go too north into Glen Cove SD... not so good!!! PS- I wanted to move into Glen Head but the LIRR commute wasnt great. You must transfer at Jamacia ...so it takes over 1 hour. Just keep that in mind if you are traveling to work in the city. Good luck!

I did real estate closings for properties in this area..Sea Cliff, Port Washington, Sands Point, Glen Head, etc....All I can say is the area is really great.good schools, cute restaurants and very gorgeous homes. The ones bordering the water are breathtaking. If you can afford the taxes, go for it..it's one of the nicest areas in Nassau County..

I really liked living there before I got married. They are all beautiful neighborhoods & the schools are terrific. The commute to & from midtown was a b!tch! You have to transfer at jamaica, which sucks. In the morning, I didn't get a seat half the time because the train from jamaica was so crowded. On the way home, there is like 1 train(I believe the 6:15pm) which is a direct ride, all others, you have to transfer at jamaica & the oyster bay train was usually late... used to drive me nuts!

I live in Glen Head. We love it here (minus living on a busy st). We have been here 2.5 yrs. There are a lot of great restaurants, shopping, etc. My DD's are not in school yet, but I hear the district is great. I agree with PP, if you are commuting to the city it is a pain. I did it for 5 months before becoming a SAHM. Please FM me if you would like more info.
