Glider and Ottoman-usable with twins?

did anyone here get a rocker/glider for their nursery? I always wanted one but don't know if it will be roomy enough for me, 2 babies and a nursing pillow.

Do you have any recommendations?

I also always wanted one. I dreamed of it while we were TTC.

Then we had to fit 2 cribs in the nursery.

No ottoman and glider for me Chat Icon

I got one.
I didn't use it as much as I thought I would since I was Bfing and I couldn't feed them both at the same time on it.

I use it to read to them now but I don't think it is a necessity.

Re: Glider and Ottoman-usable with twins?

I had a glider from my DS (it was a hand me down). So when I got pregnant with my girls I stuck it in there room. It was great for middle of the night feedings (only 1 woke at 3am) and now I use it every night to sit with them for a minute before bed (they are 14 months).

I always wanted one but I did not get it for my shower and I didnt want to spend the money when the time came. We got lucky and my DH's co-worker got rid of hers and we have that one. We use it every month to take the monthly pictures and sometimes I will rock one baby in it.

i had one because i had one from my older son. But honestly i did not use it much. i could only nurse one at a time on the glider. i did rock one sometimes on it when they were upset and needed quiet but that was not often. i did not rock my kids to sleep. but i never felt comfortable nursing both together on the chair and in the middle of the night i nursed them together.

also i really don't see how i will read to them - mine are 10 months and find reading on the floor easier.

i do not take there month pics on the chair but that is getting dangerous. they don't sit still

I got one and I dont use it as much as I expected. As far as tandem Bfeeding, I found my couch or bed to be the better option. I just started useing the chair for story/book time before bed. It is nice to settle them down one at a time in and I take their picture in it once a month and use the chair as a guide of their growth.
In the end, I am glad I have one!! I am also glad I got an inexpensive one. I did some research and bought one online for $130.

We bought a big comfy rocking recliner from bobs discount furniture. It was about the same price as the glider/ottomans if I remember right- around $500. I never really fed the girls in it since they were in our room for 4 months but I did sleep in it a lot with the two of them. It is much wider than the gliders so the three of us fit well.

I have no idea what the brand is, it was a hand me down from an old coworker. BUt it is standard size. And the girls just sit on my lap (one on each leg).

Re: Glider and Ottoman-usable with twins?

I have One tha I used when they were little but usually it was only one at a time. They always woke up to eat together but one had stomach issues so she was usually up longer and I would sit there and rock with her to soother belly.

ETA: now it just takes up space
