Glucose test
My friend whos sister is 19 weeks prego just had her Glucose test. I think thats what it was because she said her sis had to drink something wait an hour and have blood drawn, sounds like the glucose to me but isn't 19 weeks a bit early? Anyone have a doc that does it that early?? I remember all of mine were between 24-28 weeks.

Is she maybe at a higher risk for GD? Maybe they're trying to catch it at an early stage.

19 weeks...wow thats the earliest Ive ever heard. Books say it should only be done between 24 and 30 ( If I remember correctly). Hmmm thats strange.

My doctor said between 24 - 28 too. Maybe she's high risk or further along than you think!!!

Yes they do it early if your parents or siblings has diabetes. If not and only lets say your grandparents then its the norm.

That makes total sense. I think her father is diabetic and her grandfather as well.
I know she is 19 weeks because she is due 2/2 and Im due 2/10.

Mine is in three weeks when I'll be 27 weeks. 19 sounds way too early.
