Glucose Test: Do NOT go to Quest Freeport!
I am just back from my 1-hr test. Even though I am a patient of Dr. Dolisi, I was sent out for my glucose testing for some reason (insurance, I imagine).
Quest Diagnostics in Freeport is a nightmare! The staff were rude beyong belief. My appointment was also not honored! ("We'll call you when your number comes next.") They made me wait 40 minutes to even be given the drink! Then, they yelled at me for reminding them that more than one hour had passed since I finished my drink.
In addition..... the place was sooo gross, especially the bathroom. The best was, however, when one of the other patients came in with a CVS shopping bag FULL of his own poop. (not in specimen jars, but loose!) The staff simply gave him some biohazard labels, and left him to wait in the crowded waiting room with the poop.
Guess I'm gonna have blood pressure issues today, too, now. This experience was so stressful!

That is absolutely disgusting.
I'd call the main number for Quest and complain.
I've had nothing but issues with Quest in the past. Ugh!

I find they are usually quite rude in ANY Quest. Sorry you had such a bad experience.

That is soooo disgusting! Quest in RVC is really good. The people are nice and it's clean- not sparkling, but clean.

Uggh, that is terrible! I went to the Bay Shore location and had a great experience. When I went for my 3-hour, I felt as if I was going to faint after the 3rd draw and the person who was taking the blood let me lay down in another room and did my final draw in there as opposed to sending me back to the waiting room or even making me sit up. I had an appt and they took me within 3 minutes. I guess they are hit or miss.

Yup I agree. If you tell them you have an appt they honor it too...
Ugh, that sounds like a nightmare!!!

Sorry you had a bad experience.
All patients of Drs. Dolisi and Hanauer are sent out for the glucose test regardless of insurance, they don't do that test in the office. I have United Healthcare and went to LabCorp. I would recommend them if you need any other lab work done.

United Healthcare no longer uses Quest because of the number of complaints they were receiving.

I'd freak out. Knowing me I'd have refused to take the test there and rescheduled somewhere else..
