God Help Me! I want to shower in my own house!
Its been a week and a half since they gutted my bathroom. This is torture. I am so tired of going to my parents' house to shower. I have basically worn the same Banana Republic sweat suit for days now. Who wants to wear nice clothes when you feel dirty? Yuck! My husband has been giving himself a sponge bath. I wish we had a second shower!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did they gut both of your bathrooms at the same time? Just wondering why? They gutted both of mine and left the half bath so there would be a toilet in the house but we are not living there.
Do you have it in your contract that your contractor must work "consecutive days until the job is completely finished including finished work". After hearing some stories of contractors who juggle too many simultaneous jobs I always suggest to people to put that in the contract.
Good luck. What do they have done so far?

No...they only gutted one bathroom, but the second bathroom is only a powder room. There is no shower. I don't have any issues with them not showing up. I think it will probably take at least 2 1/2 weeks longer. They are replacing all of the plumbing and changing the design of the bathroom. Its a pretty large bathroom too. Its 400 square feet of marble that they are laying.
So far they gutted it, added all of the electrical stuff, set up the wiring for the airjet tub, added recessed lighting, and changed almost all of the plumbing.
