Godparents-When & how did you ask?
For anyone having Godparents, how long did you wait to ask them and did you do anything special? Thanks

I am not a parent BUT I am a godmother.
When my sister handed me and my brother our niece in the hospital - she said meet your goddaughter! It was simple but beautiful and a very emotional moment for all of us

With my first pg we asked my SIL pretty early I think when I was around 4 or 5 months pg For the godfather, my brothers are twins and we were jokiing we would flip a coin or have them play a game of 1 on 1 to see who would be godfather. But they came up with a great plan than if the baby was a boy, one would be if it were a girl, the other would "win". That obviously occurred at the 20 week. This time, my other brother was obviously the godfather and we asked my DH's aunt to be godmother at 6 or 7 months pg. We never asked any "special" way... just asked.

I am 23 wks yest and tonite we took my Sis and my Nephew to dinner and we asked them to be the godparents

Not preggo...yet.
The way we asked our aunt and uncle to baptism our DS is when they came to see him we asked them "Do you want to hold your Godson?" My aunt was so shocked she just stared at me(for a minute I though she would say No) but she said yes. It was sweet. My sister and her DH asked us almost the same way.

When my sister in law asked me to be a god mother, she took a sonogram picture (when she was pregnant) and put it in a very cute winnie pooh frame at the bottom of the picture it said will you be my godmother? I still have it and now my neice is 5. She looks at it everytime she comes over!!

When my cousin asked me to be godmother to their youngest, she had her 2 older daughter's say "Will you be Olivia's Godmother?"
It was so cute!
