Going a day or two w/out feeling baby kick?
I haven't felt my little Sonya kick at all much in the past 2 days. I have an appt tomorrow anyway, so I will ask, but has this happened to anyone? I've been incredibly busy and on the move so I wonder if she's just sleepy. I'm 22 wks this week.

Re: Going a day or two w/out feeling baby kick?
With my first I remember feeling movement was very sporadic. It wasn't until 30+ weeks where I felt the baby move every day consistently.
I wouldn't be too alarmed. But I am sure at your appointment tomorrow they will use the doppler and you'll hear everything is ok

Yes. Totally normal at that stage. I used to have movement one day and non for a few days at that point...

Very true! I get worried so easily. I also have an anterior placenta.

Oh if you have anterior placenta it's even more normal! I had that too and I felt so much less movement than everyone else. I'd be getting a sono and the tech would be like- oh she is moving so much- and I wouldn't feel a thing. It stinks but it's normal with the anterior placenta- but yes, it does make you nervous!

At that stage in pregnancy it is ok but when you are in your 3rd tri don't take any chances. I had an emergency c-section at 36 weeks because I didn't feel DS kicking that morning so off to the hospital I went and his heart rate was dropping since the cord was wrapped his neck 3 times. So always follow your mommy instincts

i was up a lot last night worrying, but i started to feel little kicks at about 3 or 4.....then your post had me wondering if the cord could be wrapped up around baby this early and cause problems....

when you are particularly busy and moving around, you feel it move much less. don't worry, we are about the same weeks along and I am feeling the same thing.

Re: Going a day or two w/out feeling baby kick?
This just happened to me. I was in PA all weekend and was very busy. I have been feeling less movement since Friday. My nerves got the best of me and I went to the Dr yesterday. He did a sono and all was fine. He told me its normal at this stage of the game
ETA: I was 22 weeks yesterday

Re: Going a day or two w/out feeling baby kick?
I am having my first (due in less than 5 weeks) and she has had days like this too. Babies are just like us, just on a smaller level. They have their days when they are constantly moving, and then they have lazy, under-the-weather days too. I wouldnt worry much, but mention it to your doctor.
Try drinking a glass of Orange juice and laying on your left side for a little. That might get her to move a little. :)

Re: Going a day or two w/out feeling baby kick?
I just started feeling the baby around 22 weeks and it wasnt consistent at all- now at around 28 weeks, I feel the baby on a daily basis- I wouldnt worry- I'm sure she's fine and she's probably even moving- you just might not be sitting still enough to feel it
try not to worry

Re: Going a day or two w/out feeling baby kick?
thanks, girls. at my appt yesterday i asked doc about it and she said that at 22 weeks the baby is still so small that until 26 weeks or so the movement isn't consistent. With the doppler the HB sounded perfect so she wasn't worried.
