Going out for the day with pumped breastmilk in a bottle - storage questions
I am introducing the bottle this week. Just curious, when DH & I travel with DS - how long does pumped breast milk last in a bottle?
If we were going out for the day and we filled a couple of bottles with pumped breast milk, how do we store it? How long does it last for the day?

We usually only go out for a max of 3 hours. I've pumped fresh milk and taken it with us to doctor's appointments and meals at restaurants.
We have gone on a 2 hour drive mini trip and for that I took frozen breast milk, It remained frozen and when it was time to feed DS, we just put it in hot water like we would do at home.

Do you use something to keep the frozed breastmilk cold - an ice pack or cooling bag?
Is the bottles with the breastmilk heated up at all? or do you put it from the fridge into the bottle and use, as is, within 3 hours?

When I take the freshly pumped breast milk, I just put it in a bottle and take it with me. It isn't heated or refrigerated because it was literally freshly pumped. I think it is good for 4-6 hours. Those are for quick times out.
When we traveled, I put the frozen milk in this free milk bag that similac gave me. The frozen milk bags kept the other frozen milk bags frozen. I hope that makes sense. One bag would keep the other bag cold and kept them frozen together for a long time. We were in an air conditioned car and then were indoors where it was also air conditioned. If we were planning to be outdoors in the summer, I would have brought an ice pack but we haven't done that yet.

I put refrigerated bottles of milk into a cooler bag (free from similac) and I put two ice packs in to keep them cold. We live upstate and have travelled to LI many times... they always stay very cold for the 3 1/2 hour drive.

I usually just nurse DS when we're out, but if I'm traveling with milk, I always take my cooler and ice pack that came with the pump. I'm pretty sure Kellymom.com says it can last 24 hours with an ice pack in the cooler although I've never left it in there for that long.
