Going to a 1st b-day/christening tomorrow
They combined them into one party.
So I am going to bring 2 gifts but do you need to make sure each amount to what you would give seperately?
I bought a few things for the birthday, how much would you give for the christening?
Money is so tight right now

I think 1 gift is fine. I know you said you bought a few things, but I don't think you need to do 1) for birthday 1) christening.

Re: Going to a 1st b-day/christening tomorrow
We actually had a combined 1st birthday/christening party for DS. Most people gave 1 gift, some gave 2 to acknowledge both (maybe a toy, then something small religious, or money). You don't have to get 2. Unless it's a close friend/family member, i would probably just give one. And IMO just because the party is to celebrate both doesn't mean you have to give more $$
