Going to an island with a 9, 10, or 11 month old
Has anyone done this? DH wanted to go to Italy...but I think that will be too much. So I was thinking we could do something more relaxed with a shorter flight.
Any tips or advice??

I did Aruba and we all loved it! Perfect family friendly get away in paradise! =)

This is a silly point, but we went on a cruise when DS was 8 months: he loved the beach... at 12 months, we took him to the beach (Jones) and he FREAKED OUT. He's been at a pool all summer, but HATED the sand. I'd be kicking myself if we went on a beach vacay... but I'm sure it depends on the kid.

We brought my son to St. Marteen when he was 6 mos and 18 mos and both times were great.

We went to Barbados last mth when DD was 9 mths. She was teething and even then she did great. LOVED the beach, LOVED the ocean and overall she adjusted well. We worked with her schedule with early dinners and took the stroller to dinner so ahe could sleep easily. Great vacation.

we went to DR when DD was 9 months and she loved the beach..went to Aruba at 20 months she did not like the sand then but enjoyed the pool..overall Aruba is a nice vacation spot for families
