Going to my new OBGYN today.. UPDATED...

Ok so today is my first appointment with a new doctor. I have to get an annual done since it been way to long..I also want to let her know that we want to start TTC by the summer. I just want to know if that has to be a seperate appointment. ALso was DH there with you to talk to the doctor? What kind of things should I expect when I go today? Thank you?

Well first I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Vanessa Soviero!!
She is a doll!!! I am so happy I found a doctor Iam comfortable with! I am going to get all my blood work done tomorrow, and iam going to do all the neccesary tests I need for TTC. She said She reccomends me doing them now before I get preggo so if there is anyhting we need to worry about we can look into it now instead of later..I am so excited and highly reccomend her to anyone that is looking for a doctor!!

The doc will go over all of the things you should or shouldn't do while TTC, they will get a medical history for you and DH and probably take some blood to do some testing. My DH didn't come with me, but i'm sure plenty do.

When I started TTC, I happened to be at my doctor for an annual and told her my plan. If I wasn't due for an appt. I wouldn't have made one specifically for TTC. My doctor, as I recall, didn't offer any specific advice. She may have advised me to take a multivitamin, but I don't remember; in any case, she didn't put me on prenatals or take blood, etc. etc.

So, that was it. When I got pregnant, that's when I went on prenatals, had bloodwork, was advised of the "rules," and my DH went to THAT appt.
