Going to try the free babysitting at the gym today-UPDATE!
Wish me luck—and pray that I'm not paged while I'm on the treadmill. I usually workout before dinner when DH gets home, but it's getting too crazy lately and I haven't been going at all. I need to take advantage of this free service—for my a$$ and my sanity.
1-year-old DD is usually great when I leave her—she waves goodbye  and keeps on playing. BUT I usually leave her with people she knows. We'll see how today goes! I'm going for a really quick workout to ease her into it.
UPDATE: She loved it! I went during an off time (after lunch), so there was only one other child there. When we first walked in, she started to get clingy. I stayed with her while she warmed up a little and started showing her all the toys they had. She started getting excited. One of the sitters told me to leave while she was distracted. When I came back, about a half hour later, she was in the center of the room dancing to the sesame street music they had playing. She started to run away from me when I got her coat  They said she never cried once. And played with the other little girl. 
Ideally, I'll go in the morning. They say they get a lot of kids at that time. But hopefully she'll continue to enjoy it!

I must try out the babysitting service at my gym also -
I was going to the gym at night when husband got home but it is too late

I hope it went well! I joined a few weeks ago and have worked up to leaving ds for a 1 hour class. I'm so glad I did it. It was the first time I left ds with anyone other than my mom. He was fine!

DD has been going to the gym sitter since she was just shy of 2, for 1 week straight she cried and sat in a chair.
it broke my heart, but i was not giving in... she loves it now... i am glad i did it before she went to school, because the 1st day of school she waved to me and said bye momma, see you later while 17 other kids were screaming & crying their heads off!
