Going to Vegas next week- what to pack?

Right now the weather is only showing up until Friday (we will arrive on Wed) and the temps are between 75-80. I know it gets chilly at night.

We will be there 4 nights, 5 days. I have no idea what to pack. Enough shorts AND pants for each day? Are sweats okay to wander between the hotels? I don't like the way I look in capris so I don't weat them.

We are going to one show... can we get away with jeans or should we bring khakis?

I feel like its going to be a short trip with a lot of luggage!!!

One of the things I LOVE about Vegas is that you can pretty much wear ANYTHING. I totally slum it while Im there.. jeans, sneakers, and shirts. Other than the hip clubs, no one cares about what you are wearing. Just be comfortable.

The night gets chilly but the casinos are almost always the perfect temperature (they want you to stay and gamble!)

And bring sunscreen!

You can definately wear jeans to the shows at night, and you can, like the pp said wear pretty much anything during the day. Right now its perfect jeans/capris and tank top weather. Though if your always warm, and plan on walking around outside a lot during the day then I'd bring a pair or two of shorts. Also, bring a sweater for the casinos, because sometimes they can get chilly.

You can definitely get away w/ jeans and t-shirts or tanks for most of the time there. Bring a layer or two if going to walk the strip at night or hang out in a casino. You can always bring a long/short skirt for shows or nice restaurants but most don't require you to get dressed up. THe only thing to be aware of is if you are going to a club - check the dress code. Most clubs have a no jeans/no sneakers policy.

I just got back from there Thursday... This is what I wish I would have taken


3-4 tanks,
2-3 zip up hoodies it does get chilly at night and in the morning
2 pairs of jeans
track/veluor sweatsuit for the plane
2-3 light summer dresses
flip flops
tennis shoes that fit well and are broken in
bathing suit
2-3 short sleeve tops that look nice
1 nicer summer dress for a nice dinner or a show


Yes you can wear anything but I would shy away from sweats in the casino...I would bring comfy well fitting clothes and layers.
