Good adjustment to daycare...for parents looking toward sending their toddler

I figured I would post this since I would have enjoyed reading this myself lol

My son is very much a mama's boy, shy with new people etc. He started "school" 3 weeks ago, he is27 months

The first two weeks he cried at drop off and off and on through out the day, though he did like things about it.

Today, the first day of his 3rd week, he skipped in sat down to eat cereal and said "bye mama, see you later".

So for all you mama's nervous to send your toddler, they dp adjust, believe me my son was a tough one and I thought it would take much longer if ever haha

Hope this makes someone feel better about having to leave their baby Chat Icon

They do adjust but just prepare yourself for the times that they cry and scream in the future. My DS has been in daycare since 8wks and still has times when he is hanging on our legs at drop-off. But jsut know they will always come running into your arms at the end of the day.

thanks so much for posting this. my DD is 31 months and is totally shy around strangers and has never been to an activity alone. i was just looking online at pre schools for her in september where she will be alone and freaking out bc i know it will be such a hard adjustment. i am glad to hear happy stories like yours and glad your son is doing well. keep updating us please.
