Good Dance Clubs in Manhattan
My friends and I are looking to go into the city tonight to go dancing. We used to go more often a couple of years ago and now have not become too familiar with the newer clubs. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.....We want to go dancing...no lounges. Thanks so much for your ideas in advance

Re: Good Dance Clubs in Manhattan
what kind of music are you looking for? i dont know if you like particular DJs or not. the 'big' clubs in the city right now are crobar and pacha. all i know, is that DJ boris is playing at crobar tonite. i have never heard of him, but i am more into trance.
i have to admit i am not really a fan of crobar, but it is a cool club. i only go there if i really, really love the DJ. i went to pacha a few weeks ago for a german hard techno DJ and i liked the layout very much. it is the old sound factory. i dont think spirit has re-opened yet. spirit is the old twilo. right now the scene, IMO, isnt that great, since they closed arc.
i prefer a smaller type club like cielo or sullivan room. i have heard great things about love, too. they arent lounge like, but just a smaller club with a smaller dance floor.

Re: Good Dance Clubs in Manhattan
Kling Klang pretty much nailed it. And the summer is tough as most of the DJs that we love all go to Ibiza and only play in Europe. Have fun tonight!

i dont know that story. to be honest stuff like that happens all over the city, not just clubs. although i have heard of stabbings going on recently in clubs. which is just so pathetic. come on people, everyone is out having a good time- why the violence?
and yes summer is tough all the good djs are over in ibiza or the rest of europe. my friend is over there now, i am jealous. i did it 2 years ago, so i got it out of my system then, but still....

Re: Good Dance Clubs in Manhattan
Thank you girls for all of your wonderful input. I am getting set to head on out....it turns out that my friend is friends with a DJ for the Club QT and supposedly we are all getting in for free. Never heard of the place, so we shall see. I'm excited...haven't been to a city club in a long time. Webster Hall had always been my favorite...or a favorite rather. I'll let you guys know later or tomorrow how this place turned out to be. Thanks again for all of your input!!
