Good Faith Estimates..
How accurate was your good faith estimate..the banks keep telling me the number they are giving me is based on worst case scenerio with property taxes..Was everyone giving more or less money at closing then originally listed on your GFE?

I have to say, ours was pretty spot on. It changed a little because of how many days interest we had to pay, but for the most part, was pretty accurate.

Mine was almost to the penny! I have heard some can be off. My Mrtg broker did mine and I have to say it was right on the $$.

I actually had to pay 8 months. I think it depends on when you close.

The GFE we received from Wells Fargo almost 100% accurate. We actually ended up getting a few hundred dollars back at closing.
We did not escrow taxses...we pay our taxes 2x a year.

We did not escrow taxses...we pay our taxes 2x a year.
same so ours was accurate.

my estimate from Wells Fargo was off by $3,000. But my attorney gave us one that was a lot closer.

same here!
we had to escrow 6 months in taxes but my attorney told me to have enough money handy to escrow about 8.
