Good morning ladies.... What do you do with your child(ren) when you are alone and SICK?

I'm trying to handle her as little as possible right now.....

awww feel better mama. just wash your hands a lot and use a purell hand sanitizer stuff.

I hate when either of us are sick. I actually just wash my hands and face as much as possible, and wash his hands as much as possible as well. I try to disinfect anything that he might put in his mouth, and I put on gloves to make his food.

I am a freak though, and a huge germophobe. Most times he does not catch whatever it is I have.

Oh, and I go without baby kisses for a few days...that is the hardest

wash my hands a LOT. I usually get it from him though, so he usually doesnt re get anything.

I had that stomach virus thing (a small version of it) over the weekend. I didnt give her any kisses and washed my hands a lot

I beg DH to stay home and if he can't then I call my mom and beg her to stay home and come over. If she can't then I wash up, feed her, change her, then put her in the play yard while I lay on the couch.

We are all pretty sick here (me, DH and Jenna) with colds and coughs-luckily Kyle is fine (knock on TONS of wood-lol)-just loads of handwashing, purell, I LYsol everything including doorknobs, switches everyday.

I usually try to wash my hands constantly. No face to face interaction. No kisses Wash the sheets daily (but I cosleep) and disinfect toys daily.

Every time I've been sick since September has been because I caught something from DD so I don't really worry about her catching it from me.

DD usually ends up watching more TV than I would like but that is so my contact with her is limited. When DH comes home, he'll make up for it. And then vice-versa when he's sick.

It is hard though when you are just physically wiped and all they want is you

Haven't had it yet, but I think if DH was working I would ask the sitter to take him!

I hand her off to my mom. And then I cry because I cant kiss her. I've been sick like five times this year already, pure torture when she's crying to come to me and I have something that's contagious. I was my hands alot and use tons of hand sanitizer in between.

Thank you ladies sooooooooooooo much!

I don't know what on God's green earth hit me, but whatever it was had me sleeping for 2 days (almost) straight through.....

And the best part was that I was home alone with her....

I let her play on the floor with her toys for the time that she was awake, and only picked her up when I needed to feed her....

I didn't eat for 2 days although I did force myself to have a mug of broth and a slice of bread 1x per day, and just slept it off.... Last night I sweated out the fever.

i had the horrible chills, no hunger, EXHAUSTED, no cough, no sneezing, nothing else.....

Anyone wanna play doctor with those symptoms?

I wound up with Bronchitis. Had slight tightness in my chest. Other than that just a fever. But from the fever I wound up with no appetite, chills, sweats, headaches, etc.

I only went to the doc because after 3 days I was still getting a temp of 102.

my instant answer as well when I read post, I cry. Its unfair and cruel to have to care for baby while sick.

Went through this today.
DS is not feeling well.
Im not feeling well and he didn't even nap.
ITA with all those that said "Cry"..I came very close to it.
I went upstairs, opened the bathroom window and just took in the fresh air..Thankfully, that helped me soooo much!
Tonight when DH got home, I went shopping, Alone..It felt great.
