GOOD NEWS!! I am soo excited!
I know this may not belong here, but I don't frequent the other boards I am more comfy here
Well if you remember, i was laid off and I got a call back to come back to work.
I regretly declined the position, cause 70 bucks a week more was just not worth it, and put out there, at the time as a long shot if they would let me work from home. I didn't expect anything.
All week I didn't hear a thing, so I figure no news is good news!
Well, they are going to work with me, They are currently getting approvals for remote access for me to work from home 3 days a week and go in for meetings 2 days a week. They also will hold my position while on maternity leave, in CT we get 16 weeks, and after that time will try to get me on as a permanent employee!
I am overjoyed!! I finally get the best of both worlds, staying home with Gianna, while still in the workforce and only having to put her in daycare 2 days a week.
Please pray for me that my boss is able to pull off the remote access, as a contractor they normally don't give contractors access to the network off site.

Great news! It seems like bosses always try to put fear in you and then when you challenge them and they see YOU don't need THEM, they come through and work with you. I had a similar situation and left for maternity leave not knowing if I'll have a job to them calling me with my bonus and saying they can't wait for me to come back and I'll always have a job there, any days I want, etc. Good luck!
