Good place for clambake/steamers in South shore?
Does anyone have recommendations of a good restaurant/raw bar in the south shore of long island (maybe around Babylon/Bay Shore) to get a bucket of steamers or "clambake" kind of dishes?

I know you asked for Long Island but DH and I go to a place in Brooklyn called Randazzo's. It is incredible. I highly recommend it if you are willing to go.
I can't give LI suggestions because I am from SI.

Do you want it catered/take out... or do you want to eat in?

In Lindenhurst on Montauk Highway (which is Merrick Road). I am having a blonde moment, but I am pretty sure it is called Southside. They are not a dressy place at all (cafeteria style) put the food is REALLY good and super fresh.

LOVE Nicky's. Ice cold beer and a bucket of steamers.. awesome.
If you are looking to BUY a bag of Steamers, Blue Island has a stall at the Sayville Farmer's Market every Saturday and they have the best and freshest clams and steamers I've tasted in a while. We made them over the holiday weekend and they were FANTASTIC!

Do they have stuff for the non-fish eaters?
