Re: Good Sam girls
I was never even asked if I was going to pump....I would call ahead of time so that they have one for you to rent. You can also rent from baby R Us. I think its like $150 a month...better just buying one.

Re: Good Sam girls
I specifically asked for a pump, I was still afraid to open the one I had purchased. I never got a bill. I am assuming it was covered under insurance.

Re: Good Sam girls
I had DD in October 2007. While in the hospital, the pump rental was free. When you are released they will refer you to Home Care America on Sunrise Highway. I think it was $10-20 a week, or $50 a month to rent, plus you have to buy your own set of valves and stuff (can't remember the price, maybe $15-20???). They were awesome to deal with and have a large stock of breastfeeding/pumping supplies.

I had DD#2 in Dec and this is what is going on now... Pump usage in hospital is still free while you are admitted. Home Care America went out of business. Good Sam now rents pumps for after leaving the hospital, though I don't know the pricing. When I was visiting DD in the NICU, there was a flyer that I read, announcing such. I would call the Maternity floor and ask for info. HTH!
