Good toys/games/activities for long car trip?
For a 3 year old?
I was walking around Target before but everything seems to have small pieces, etc that I know she will be dropping all over the place and yelling about!
We have a portable DVD player so she can watch some shows, movies etc
What else is good to keep her busy on a car trip?

The Melissa and Doug Water Wow is awesome. Both my 4 yr old and 2 yr old uses them when we are out. No mess!

maybe etch a sketch or we also have the travel doodle sketch

Ipad, itouch, leap frog laptop, etc. The ipad is our saving grace. We have like 50 kid apps and about 20 movies so it has plenty to keep them occupied on road trips.
I have also given them squinkies, action figures, playdoh, etc but nothing keeps them occupied like the ipad.

Car bingo! I actually just did a quick google search and there are printable cards, some with pictures as opposed to the written words of what you are looking for. We always play on road trips and it helps pass the time for everyone.

We just did a 10 hour each way trip with DS ( 2.5).
He liked the Melissa and Doug water wow books, crayola color wonder coloring books, magna doodle...
But the top 2 were probably the TAG Jr thing, and "his" iPhone ( we saved my old one, and loaded it up with kids apps)

There are trays that you can get to go over DCs lap that will help prevent little things from going all over the car.

You can get magnets and let DC play with them on a cookie sheet. There are tons of ideas on Pinterest.
