Good workout videos?
I've looking for workout videos that are good for getting in shape all around. I just need to lose weight now, toning will come later. I've been going through a lot of stressful family stuff lately and I eat to de-stress, so I'm now the heaviest I've ever been - even when I was preggo.
I can't go to a traditional gym. DH works really long hours and doesn't get home in time for me to go to a gym and I don't have anyone in the family I can ask to babysit. BIL isn't comfortable holding her, my brother has a job where his schedule changes week to week and my mom cares for my elderly grandmother. ILs live in Florida.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

Re: Good workout videos?
I like the Walk Away the Pounds tapes. They come in 1,2,3,4 mile tapes/dvds. I squeeze them in when the baby is napping.

Re: Good workout videos?
I use Walk Away the Pounds as well. I got the set of the 1, 2 and 3 mile DVDs at Target for about $30. They are great for me, for when the weather is too cold or rainy/snowy to go outside. The lengths are about:
1 mile : 20 min 2 mile: 28 min 3 mile: not sure since I haven't done it yet

Re: Good workout videos?
I have a pretty good collection of workout videos, and I'd have to say that The Firm is the best. I also love Cathe Friedrich, but most of her tapes are advanced (meaning they will totally kick your a$$ )

Re: Good workout videos?
Thanks! I'll start with the Walk away the Pounds (sounds like it's about my speed) and move on from there.
Maybe I can make a game out of it and amuse the baby at the same time. Look at Mommy turn different shades of red! LOL

Re: Good workout videos?
I have the original firm videos and step. Let me tell it;s a serious workout. I started doing Walk Away the Pounds to build up stamina and then started the firm. The first time I did I couldn't finish the tape.... I didn't finish it until after the four try.

I'm a huge fan of tae-bo. That Billy Blanks really gets your butt in gear! Also, the Carmen Electra strip DVD's are really fun.
