Goodie Bags for 1st Birthday - Daycare Class
I notice that is Thomas' daycare class, the moms make goodie bags for the kids' first birthdays and put them in all the kids' cubbies - the class goes up to 18 months. Most of the time, it's something that my infant son couldn't actually use, like little crayons and a tiny coloring book.
Is anyone making goodie bags for DC's daycare class at such an early age? If so, what are you putting in it? I was thinking teeting ring for the little ones and sippy cup for the older ones, but we all know how personal a choice a sippy cup is! Plus, it seems like I'm giving other kids "gifts" for my son's birthday... Does that make sense?
Any advice would be most appreciated!!

DS has received a few from his friends at daycare.
DS's bday is May 10th (saturday) so DH said we could get away with no gifts for the other kids

You lucked out!! DS's birthday is Thursday, April 17, so I'm feeling the pressure!

I would do something small. DS has received a small plastic goodie bag with a teether and a small book. he also received a construction bag with some plastic toys inside

We haevn't receive anything yet and most of his buddies birthdays are this week and next, and so is his. I only got his "best friend" a little something for that kids birthday tomorrow, but I won't be giving the other kids birthday gifts or favors for DSs birthday next week.

I say don't get dragged in to the goodie bag thing. I'd say as long as you bring in some treats for the class to celebrate DS' birthday you're fine.

I wouldn't do it. At that age its a little much. Even in my Pre-K, some kids do & others don't...
