GORGEOUS home for sale in my neighborhood
i am thinking of downsizing but want to stay in the area. went to view a home today and was REALLY impressed. VERY tastefully decorated. only negative (IMO) is that it is located on a corner lot (25A).
original price was 819k but was recently reduced to 645k.
for anyone interested in the fort salonga (1 acre zoned) area, this home is a GREAT buy. houses rarely sell for under 700k and if so, they are in poor condition.

although the kitchen is really nice, it is small. if i were to purchase, i would remove the island. very tight squeeze btwn island and oven.
eta: one thing i noted was the lack of crown molding. was surprised that feature (low cost, high impact) was overlooked.

Wow, that really is a nice house, and a great price! That's generally the range we are looking in, although at this point, just looking because we really have no plans yet to move. DH says anything in Suffolk is too far  (he works in Queens).

I agree. The island seems like it was shoved in. Not enough room behind for stove to open and have a person in there as well, that's for sure.
But otherwise, I really like this home alot!!!
