Got a Mani w/ OPI Shatter... Also Shellac info
I got a mani today... undercoat is Essie Sexy Divide (which is now one of my favorites!!) and I got the silver OPI Shatter topcoat on top of it which was an extra $2 on top of the $6 mani.
Not really sure if I'm digging it. What do you all think?
Also I inquired how much they charge for Shellac for future reference and they charge $20!!! I went to Fashion Nails in Wantagh.

I can be into some pretty unique things, but the shatter trend is not for me.
It always reminds me of nails that need a fresh manicure! 
But it's hard to go by me....I don't even like fake nails or long nails. I like them just trimmed nice and neat and short.

hmmm for some reason the shatter effect isnt as good as alot i have seen...yours almost just looks like spots were missed kwim? i hear alot of it is about the application

I have to say that one benefit of the shatter is that I smudged a little bit on my thumb but you can't really tell because it blends in with the shatter!

It looks like it didn't "shatter" enough - you should be able to see more of the color underneath. You have to really follow the instructions and only do three stripes - middle and each side - and you can't go over it again or else it gets streaky.

Im not a fan. It reminds me of cheesy airbrushed nail designs.
Not that yours looks cheesy, just the whole shatter thing in general.

I like it! It's definitely different. When I need a change from my boring mani, I'll do the shatter.

Don't like it. I got the black shatter polish and sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. I think it's just the way it cracks, KWIM? Yours kinda looks like it didn't crack, it just looks like they did a bad job of putting a silver polish on. No offense! It looked like that the first time I did mine, too.

Yeah I think she did a crap job too. Some nails look better than others. It's definitely growing a bit on me though! From far away it looks like a dark gray metallic which is kind of cool. Oh well, I tried this and now I know not to do it again! 
I've also been using the Essie No Chips Ahead and so far just a tiny nick on the corner of one nail but that's my fault for using it to get something out of between my teeth
