Got great news yesterday!!! Getting off the prednisone!!!
I had a follow up yesterday with my rheumatologist and I am so excited because finally, for the first time since November, I will be taken off prednisone!!! I am soooooo excited. I am going to be 8 weeks on Sunday and my rheumatoid arthritis is completely in remission!!! This is seriously the second best pregnancy perk yet (the first being my little angel growing inside me!). All of my testing came back great and there is no chance I have lupus, which is a HUGE relief! I am so jazzed about this because even though the medication was a life saver and helped us conceive, it is adding to my bloating which is incredibly uncomfy. My rheumy told me in my particular case, it is very safe. So I am down from 20mg to 15mg. I should be completely off of the medication in about 2-3 weeks!!!! Just wanted to share my great news! 
I will probably update my blog later, but I am going to try and be a good girl and study a lot today.

wow!! im amazed at how pregnancy puts this into remission. too bad there wasnt a way to mimic that for non pregnant people.

I know-incredible, right? The bad thing is that it flares post partum for most patients-praying I will be an exception! I am surprised they don't research this more!
