Got slim lipo today

I haven't seen anything posted on LIF about it so I figured I would share my experience.

I got there at 6:30 this morning. They took my vitals, I filled out paperwork and changed into a gown/paper undies/paper bra.

I was given 2 tylenol, an two other pills. (Sedatives). The doctor took pictures of the areas to be worked on and marked me up with a marker.

I laid down and my belly/inner thighs were cleaned. They then began the process.

The first step is the numbing stage. They used a little needle and lidocaine. After they numbed the areas, they filled me up with a saline liquid. (This took almost an hour).

Once I was filled up and ready to go, the procedure began. They used the laser to melt the fat and then a suction to suction it out. This process took about an hour or so. I was up the whole time (they had a tv on to watch). I did fall asleep a few times because of the sedatives. After everything was complete I needed to stay there because my blood pressure was low. I was given a snack and drink and they monitored me until my blood pressure was back to normal. (I have low pressure to begin with, so it was really low). They wrapped me tight on my abs and thighs. I was told to go get something to eat and alternate walking and resting. No heavy lifting for 3 weeks.

I go back tomorrow morning for the bindings to come off and will come up with a compression garment.

I feel great. Not really sore. The soreness that I feel is comparable to a good ab workout. A little tired not sure if it is from the sedative still or my lack of caffeine today (I am a coffee junkie). I am going to get coffee in a bit to see if a spunk up.

They remove 950 ccs (almost 1 liter) of fat. I am leaking a little bit but that is expected.

what's the recovery time?

I am looking to get lipo on the sides of my legs- I am curious about this

I don't want to be put under- this sounds like it might be what I am looking for

what doctor did you go to?

Well recovery was pretty quick.

I was out and about Friday afternoon, as well as all weekend. Today I went to work.

I actually feel better when I am up and walking versus standing around. They recommended not standing around for too long.

I am still taking tylenol every 4 hours, but feel good otherwise.
