got some good insurance info
I just called our insurance provider to find out what is covered for fertility treatments because my Dr. wants DH to have a SA. We are covered for $5000 or infertility treatments, up to $10,000 for IVF, and $20,000 lifetime. I thought that was pretty good, so did DH. We are probably going to hold off on the SA until next month since DH did have to take Flomax for a little while. We're hoping and praying we don't even need to do it. The BDing begins, either today or tomorrow!

Re: got some good insurance info
That sounds awesome! Our coverage is not nearly that much, and I always feel so terrible for those with no coverage whatsoever.....

Good for you!! That sounds like a pretty good deal.
I am one of the unlucky ones whose plan covers NO fertility tests or treatments.

Re: got some good insurance info
i think thats pretty good. Mine i think is 15K lifetime max for infertility. its not broken down as to what it covers.
keep in mind though that one IVF cycle can run you to the max pretty quickly.
Hopefully you dont need to go there..

Not necessarily though - because your out-of-pocket costs are totally different than what your insurance company would pay.

I work for an insurance company and yes you are right on this. IVF cycle can run you to the max quick keep this in mind when planning what to do. But overall it sounds good. Does this include medications or is that separate.
My insurance covers everything except IVF-go figure. But no max on IUIs.
