Got the BPA free Dr. Brown bottles and
can I just put them in the dishwasher for the first time or should I wash them all first in hot water and soap? I am trying to avoid washing them by hand.

For the inital use of any botles, parts or sippy cups, I always sterilize them first in boiling water for 5 minutes (both Medela & Born Free directions recommended it), then thru the dishwasher. After that first time, I just run them through the dishwasher.

I ran my doc browns through the dishwasher every time.
I hate sterilizing! i used mine once!
