What is the difference between the snugride and safe seat?

Re: Graco car seats
I think they're just 2 different models.. both are highly rated safety-wise....
The one thing DH and I realized while shopping is that some carseats are much easier to snap into the base than others... so if you're on the fence about 2 different ones, definitely go see them in person and try to clip them in and out of the bases...
we originally wanted a snugride, but went with the chicco keyfit (another highly rated seat as far as safety's concerned)... merely becuase it clipped into the base easier than the snugride. (snugride clipped in OK, but the keyfit was EASY)
maybe the safeseat is like the keyfit and snaps into the base easier?

Re: Graco car seats
The safeseat can hold an infant up to 30 lbs BUT its heavier and bulkier! Thats why i went with the Snugride which only holds up to 22lbs! My thought process is that theres no way I'll be carrying around a 30lb baby in an infant car seat anyway! And i was only 19lbs at a 12 months so I doubt I'll be poppin out a porker (my hubby is tiny too)

The Safeseat is significantly heavier and I believe has a higher weight capacity. We chose the Snugride b/c it seemed like a much easier/lighter seat to carry.
