Graco Comfortsport..... I have questions for those that have it
The carseat was installed for me, but I am having a b!tch of a time adjusting straps. I could get more room to move if I put the straps in the back on the last hole. But it says not to do it until forward facing. If DS BARELY fits now at 5 months, there's no way he can make it to a year with the straps that way. Am I missing something? Can I take it back and get another brand? I don't even want it installed in DH's car anymore. I hate it!!!!!!!!!

You mean the straps are too tigh on his arms?
Take the seat out and flip it over. You can change where the belts go on the metal bracket piece. There are 2 loops in the belt. Move it down to the last loop.
Also, if you have a lot of strap in the front part (the tighten strap), loosen the belts, and make that part a lot shorter. It will give you more room in the arm strap part.
Do I make any sense or have I totally confused you? Let me know if you want me to clarify

Re: Graco Comfortsport..... I have questions for those that have it
I want to move it to the last loop, but it says that can't be done until forward facing. Also, if this goes to 40 pounds and I'm going to the last loop, is it really going to fit until 40 pounds?
But your second point might be possible! I will try that! Maybe I'll take it to work with me tonight and play around with it. Anything to keep me awake until 8am. Thanks!

Jaidyn is still rear facing and I moved the straps. There is no way she could of stayed with the straps on the lower setting.

The straps need to come out below the shoulders when rear facing. Once forward facing they can come out above their shoulders. If you do it incorrectly, you are risking ejection from the seat in case of an accident. When you had the seat installed, did you have the baby with you? If not, I would go back with him and see if they can help you get it right.

Yes, this I know. Thanks!
It's not what position the straps come through the seat. It's the amount of strap you can actually loosen to try to get your poor child out. It doesn't loosen like the infant seat. It hardly has any give and I'm squeezing his arms in and out of the straps.

Ohh, I see..Hmmm..I have this seat and used it for quite some time before reverting back to the infant seat for convenience, but I never had an issue with the straps and DD is a chunk Are you pulling the long strap with the lever that comes out while pulling the shoulder straps out? Maybe yours is defective? I just tried mine and the straps come out pretty far.

I think a pp said this as well but with the Graco comfortsport there is another strap adjustment in the back. Unfortunately, you will have to take the seat out to adjust it but the straps have a second hook midway along where they attach for smaller infants.. Its probably on this one now, you need to take it off that and rehook it at the end of the straps it will give you ~6-8 inches more straps for a larger infant. If you still have manual, there is a picture, if not maybe there is one on Graco website to help you out. HTH!
