Graco Infant Carseat
My DH and I installed the car seat base this afternoon and after reading the directions twice we installed the car seat. It seems to be able to move and to me just does seem safe. I plan on getting it inspected but did anyone else feel that after they put it in it was able to move around alittle too much for my comfort level. TIA

It really shouldn't move more than 1/2 an inch, at least in my experience. I have the Graco Safeseat.

What car did you install the seat in? Also, where in the car did you install it? Did you use LATCH or the seat belt?
Movement should be limeted to no more than 1" from side to side from the belt/LATCH path.
If the seat lifts up from the back, that is allowable, the seat is designed to bounce. Depending on the car or seat, this movement may not be as pronounced.

I have a NIssan Altima 2007. THe car manual says not to install it using the latch system in the middle. We installed the seat in the back seat middle and used the belt with the lock clip. It doesn't move more than 1 inch from left to right it just seems so "unsafe" if that makes any sense.
