Graco metrolite stroller question
I received the travel system for my shower. I love it but I was wondering if I should pick up a snap n go. Girls that have this system did you also get a snap n go??
TIA

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
I had both
I know most girls swear by the Snap and Go - my son was out of the infant seat at 2 months so I didn't get much use out of it...hopefully next time around I will!

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
Had the snap and go for DD and registered for the double snap and go for the twins. I thought it was one of the most useful things I had. What is your metrolite question? metrolite is different from the travel system and the snap and go, its a smaller, less bulky full size stroller.

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
I thought the point of a travel system was to forgo the snap and go?
I just registered for a Graco Metrolite (not travel system), an infant car seat (but not Graco) and a snap and go (not Graco).
I really thought the point of a travel system was to not get a snap and go, and just use the stroller everyday with teh infant car seat attached?

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
The metrolite is not a travel system. The metrolite stroller is sold seperately from the infant carrier, but the infant carrier snaps on the metrolite stroller just like the travel systems do.
I am getting both because I personally think that the snap & go is the lightest way to go. Even though the metrolite stroller is lighter that the travel system stroller, the snap & go is even lighter.
I plan to only use the snap & go until DS grows out of the infant carrier. When that happens I will start using the metrolite stroller.

Like Dani said the metrolite is just the stroller, you have to buy the infant carrier separate. I had the metrolite with DD and still use it, its not as big as the travel system stroller, yet has a big basket, reclines fully, cup holders for parent, tray for DC etc. The snap and go is just so easy. You can open and close it with one hand, put in in the car with one hand. I think its definitely worth the 50- 60 bucks.

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
I got the snap and go bc I am a wimpy wimp, so when I am by myself we will use that. if DH is there we will use the stroller since it's a little bulkier, heavier

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
Thanks!
The metrolite that we got came with the infant snugride. The lady at BRU told us not to get the snap n go because she said the metrolite was the same weight as the snap n go. I was just curious to see what everyone else was doing. Thanks

My metrolite is much heavier than my snap & go. You should go to BRU and pick them both up and see for yourself. I know everyone is different but I loved the snap & go and found it to be very useful.

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
I guess they do sell it as a travel system. But most of the metro lite strollers are sold seperately from their matching car seat. Atleast the ones I am getting are sold seperately.
Either way, I still think the snap & go is lighter than the stroller.

Re: Graco metrolite stroller question
With DD, I registered for the Quattro Tour and the Snap and go.
If I had chosen the Metrolite, I still would have gotten the snap and go since in the beginning I used them for totally different purposes. The Snap and go was great for running errands and stuff like that - when I was in and out of the car a lot.
I used the full stroller for things like the mall or the outlets (which was great since I had the option of using it with the infant carrier or converting it to a bassinet) - more for times when I felt like she would have been uncomfortable sitting in the carseat for that long.
