Re: Graco Snugride 32 w/light metal frame vs. Metro Lite Travel system vs. Chicco keyfit travel system
when i got my chicco travel system i loved it because i felt that no other car seat snapped into the stroller as securely. it's nice that the infant seat goes to 30 lbs. but once DS was 20 lbs he was in a convertible car seat b/c i couldn't lift the infant carrier anymore.
i ended up using the snap n go most of the time anyway
i love the chicco stroller b/c it handles so well but it's heavy and bulky, and i'm currently looking for a more lightweight stroller.
i've never used the metrolite but it seemed flimsy to me when i tried it out in the store.

Love the Chicco carseat - hated the stroller.
We ditched the stroller and got a Bumbleride instead but the carseat I will definitely save and use for baby #2 whenever that will be

I'm doing the Graco Snugride, not the 32. I heard it is the lightest one on the market, babies love it and it rated high in safety

We have a Chicco system but found a few flaws. We loved the carrier and base and we were able to keep Abby in it until last week and she's 11 months old (tiny kid too). I don't think the stroller allows the child to sit upright enough and I find Abby slumps a lot. Im sure it will be better when she gets bigger.

love love love the metrolite!!! you will not need a snap n go with the metrolite IMO--i never used mine.
i used the regular snugride not the 32. i personally wouldn't get it because there's no way you're going to put a 32 pound baby in an infant seat. it says it fits most 1 year olds--just try getting my squirmy wormy 13 month old in an infant seat and carrying all 21 pounds of him around (and he's small for his age!)
i know nothing about the chicco

Re: Graco Snugride 32 w/light metal frame vs. Metro Lite Travel system vs. Chicco keyfit travel system
I know nothing about the Chicco but had a Greco Snugride car seat and the metrolite stroller for DS. I loved the car seat. I felt that it was really well made and loved that it was lightweight. We only used it for 5 months b/c DS outgrew it height wise.
I used the metrolite for 16 months until it broke. It stopped collapsing, the basket underneath stopped attaching and then one of the back breaks broke. We live on a hill so there was no way I was using it any more. Before it broke, I loved it. We are basically mall and local street users and it worked very well for those situations. Had it not broken I would have loved it. The car seat snapped into the frame just like a snap and go and once I felt like DS would be more comfortable in the stroller than in the car seat and stroller we started to use it that way. When this stroller broke we replaced it with a Peg Perego P3. I love the peg.
Now that we are PG with #2 I purchased a new greco snugride. I gave away DSs otherwise we would have used it. It is currently being used by a third child so, once they are done with it, I will have a second base. I told them to give the car seat to a 4th child.
If I had to do it all over again, I would say it REALLY depends upon when your DC is born whether I would get a snap and go vs. metrolite. If your DC will be 3 months old in the spring or summer or early fall when the weather is nice for walking then I would get the snug ride and a metrolite b/c I think you will get more out of it. However, if your DC will be 3 months old in the late fall or winter, I would get the snugride and the snap and go, b/c you will be less likely to take long walks outside with the stroller and the snap and go is much more convenient for in and out of the car. After about 8-10 months I would look into a light weight stroller only if your DC 1. does not sleep in the stroller and 2. you need it for your back.
If $ were no object, I would get the snug ride, the snap and go and the peg perego p3 or another high end stroller. There really is a huge difference between them but it took me a long time to figure that out.
