graco snugride carseat recalls
saw this and thought I would pass it along I know these are popular

The SnugRide recall is for some stand alone seats.
Graco® has determined that the backing of the seat pad on certain stand-alone SnugRide® Infant car seats manufactured in the United States, may be prone to deterioration or tearing, especially after washing. If this occurs, children occupying the car seat may be able to remove the padding material from the back of the seat pad and place it in their mouths, posing a potential choking hazard.

well i saw in the store today that there was another recall for snugride but i couldn't read it fully it was behind the counter but was dated for feb 2008

ITA!!
And no offense to the OP, but I am pretty sure it would be known if there was a snugride recall being that they are currently rated #1 for infant seats.

I happen to like the snugride and i have on eon my reg I thought that people might like to know that some of the seat and bases were recalled so excuse me for posting this and that's all I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT SO WHATEVER

I didn't see that when I was there earlier this week. But since you mentioned it, I checked Graco's website and the only SnugRide recall is the one you originally posted which is from 2007. I am very familiar with this recall as this is the carseat DD is in right now.

From what I can tell there is no new recall. I checked both Graco and the Consumer Products Safety Commissions.
The most recent recall is the one from 2007. It wasn't a very serious recall. The foam was easy to remove from the padding and a baby may be able to put it in their mouth. Graco supplied replacement kits.
