Graco SweetPeace soothing center/swing

The reviews on the site are not good at all...

Thoughts?

I was thrown off by the reviews, too. We went to see it at BRU, and DH took it off the shelf, found an outlet to plug it into and turned it on so we could see it in action.

I know that one of the major complaints was the fact that the swing causes a lot of noise. I thought the motor was comparable to other swings, and maybe even a little quieter. I will definitely return it if it doesn't live up to my expectations (for that amount of $ I think that's reasonable!) but we put it on our registry and are more than willing to give it a shot. If it works well, what an awesome invention!

I have this swing and I LOVE it. I had another swing and I returned it because there was a recall on the motor. The Sweetpeace is the best swing, IMO. My son loves the motion and the music / white noise.

When I was in BRU saturday there was a couple behind me returning it. They said there was a few things the didn't like about it but the #1 was it almost chopped his leg off...not sure what happened.

I was so excited when we got the soothing center and we have tried numerous times to put my DS in this and he does not like it at all. We thought maybe when he got alitte bigger he would enjoy it (he is 10 weeks old now). He LOVES the rainforest swing that was given to us a few days ago by friends.

I registered for this swing so we will see how it works out but I will have no problem being it right back if we have any problems
