Graduation gift for someone entering air force?
Hi Ladies! Any suggestions? I have asked the mom(my friend) but I get the routine " don't get the graduate anything - just come to the party and have fun!"
Just not sure what would be an appropriate gift? Otherwise I will give money - which I know is fine too!

when my son graduated high school and then went into the Marines, we asked for no gifts.
he got a few cards with cash/checks in them.
when he got home from basic training, again... we asked for no gifts. again he got a few cards with cash/checks in them. lol
i hate showing up empty-handed, i would give a card with a check... yes, even if i was asked to not give a gift. i'm a horrible person and will still give a gift

This exactly! I just can't show up empty handed... its not me... SO seems like cash
