granite and home depot?
We had originally planned on going with a tile/granite company for our kitchen. We got a good price and we are about to order it when they tell us they don't take credit cards. Paying cash right now is not an option because we are still waiting for our coop to sell. I called several companies and they don't take creadit card either.
So i guess our only option is to use either Home Depot or Lowes so we could charge it. Has anyope had any experience with them? Thanks

Re: granite and home depot?
I can't comment on granite but we got a corian countertop through Lowes and we were very happy with the experience from the start. We had gone to HD but had trouble even getting someone to help us. We were very happy with the service at Lowe's and the countertops were installed very quickly. If we need to re-do countertops in the new home (whenever that may be) I would go straight back to Lowe's.

I can't really comment on counter tops at home depot, but DH and have used them for other things and have never been happy with their service. I'm currently having another issue with them. Unfortunately there is not a Lowes in my area.

To get countertops at Home Depot... you need to schedule an appointment with a kitchen designer... or go in there when its very quiet and not busy.

Re: granite and home depot?
We were originally thinking about using Home Depot or Lowe's for our new kitchen countertops...personally, I found a better selection at Lowe's...however, they were going to take too long to get installed from them, so we HAD to go to a regular countertop place.

Re: granite and home depot?
try talking them into accepting payment through paypal and agree to pay the 2 or 3% more that they take out- then you can sign your name ot the piece of granite you want
