granite/marble for fireplace
We want to put granite/marble around our fireplace and on the floor by the fireplace(the little area in front, and both areas in front of the window)
Originally I wanted to put a mantle up, but will it look funny? Should we just put the marble all the way up the firplace by the tv?
Also, any suggestions on granite/marble that will look nice...ive also attached a pic of our rug, but of course that will change eventually. Image Attachment(s):

We have black honed granite around our fireplace and then the granit is framed in wood with a wood mantle above it.
